This was tested and it is working, not really fixed, it was simply not a bug.

Turn off automatic or app based profiles in the Carpe app. Then re-program in the Next Generic Remote setup.

Have this setup running properly. For me it helped to revise the carpe iter "controller" App permissions and installed their second app named "carpe Iter NGH" instead. You can configure the buttons in this app as well and it works fluently

I am in the same situation. I downloaded the NGH app, removed the old Carpe Iter App and in DMD Next I deleted all bindigns. But I still get issues with navigating effectively on DMD. Would it be possible to tell me what bindings you have in the NGH app (including short and long presses)? I assume that you add only those in the NGH app and keep DMD without any bindings, correct? If not can you please write how you is your setup that is working?

Following up on my previous post, so that in case anyone has a similar problem. I partially solved this issue by reseting all setiings/key bindings in the NGH app for the DMD app and then made the bindigns in DMD Next fresh. I can get the map to do everything (pan, zoom, toggle, lock), but I am having some small issues on the home screen navigating to the media player to change music. I can live with it like this for now and i will post again in the future if i find the solotion.
