HUB
The DMD HUB is the connected side of DMD2 — sign in and your profiles, GPX, locations and settings sync across every device and the web. It's also where you ride in groups, save your favourite places, and discover routes shared by the community.

Opening the HUB & Signing In
Open Quick Actions (the lightning-bolt button in the map's Section 3 bar) and tap DMD HUB — its top entry — to slide the HUB in on the right of the map, with the map still live beside it.
The HUB opens beside the map — every section on one screen, each tile carrying its own state.
Sign In
Sign in with your DMD HUB account — email and password (with a Show password toggle, plus Forgot Password and Sign Up links). Riding Groups and Discover additionally need an active HUB session at ride time, since both are entirely server-driven.
Changed or reset your HUB password? That signs the account out of DMD2, MiniLauncher and DMD HUB on every device (so a lost password cannot keep an old session alive) — the app tells you why and you sign in again with the new password. The same happens after Sign out all devices on the HUB website.
Works Offline
Once you've signed in, the HUB keeps a cached copy of your groups, locations and files, so it still opens and shows your data off the grid — it just flags that it may be out of date until you're back online.
The DMD HUB Icon
DMD2 puts a second icon on your device, DMD HUB, next to its own. It opens the same app straight into the HUB, full screen — made for browsing and looking after your HUB content when you're not riding: at home, or on your phone. It is still the same app: the same sign-in, the same files and places, and a navigation or recording running in the background carries on.
On the DMD2 Dev (beta) app the icon is called DMD HUB-Dev and is red, like the beta's own icon, so a device with both apps can tell them apart.

Three tabs run along the bottom — Social, Explore and My Stuff — with the DMD HUB icon at the top of each, and a DMD2 button that takes you to the full navigation app:
Social
The HUB Feed — what riders are posting: text and photos, with likes and comments. Write your own post with What's on your mind? (text, one photo, or both). Choose All or Following, and keep Shared Content on to mix in the GPX files, places, events, services, news and videos riders shared in the last week — tap one for its details; a video plays in YouTube.
The bell lists the replies to your posts and the likes they get. The on a post edits or deletes your own, or reports a post or blocks a rider. On your own post, the heart shows who liked it. Tap a rider's name for their rider page.
My Stuff
Your own content and your account: GPX files, places, Riding Groups, Trip Sharing, My Events (the events you created and the ones you are going to) and your rider Profiles, with Logout or Sign in at the top and the sync status at the foot.
DMD2
Not a tab: it closes the HUB and opens the full navigation app — the same as tapping the DMD2 icon. The DMD HUB icon brings you back to where you were.
Rider Pages
Tap a rider's name in the Feed or on Live to open their page: their awards, a few words about them, their links, and what they share with the HUB — GPX files, places, upcoming events, services, videos, news and posts, each with View all. Follow puts their posts in your Feed's Following. The menu opens the page on the HUB website, or blocks the rider.
- The DMD2 icon always opens the navigation app.
- Back walks back through the HUB. At the start of a tab it takes you to Social; from Social it leaves the app. The Feed's notifications are the bell on Social. Once the HUB sits beside the map, Back still walks back through it, then closes it.
- In the HUB the screen is allowed to sleep as usual — it stays on only while a navigation or a recording is running.
Notifications on the HUB Website
On the DMD HUB website, the bell in the top bar tells you what happened on your things and what the riders you follow shared. It sits next to your picture on a computer, and next to the menu button on a phone. When something is new it turns blue and shows how many: 7 new.
Click it to open your notifications. On a computer they open on the right; on a phone they slide up from the bottom.
Riders you follow
The row of pictures at the top: the riders you follow who shared something new. A red ring and LIVE mean that rider is riding live right now. Click a picture to see what they shared.
For you
Comments and replies on your GPX files, places, events, services, videos, trip journals and posts. Each one shows the item, the newest comment and who else commented. Reply answers right there. Below them: likes, riders saving your places, new followers, and riders going to your events.
Following
The riders you follow: who is riding live (Watch live), and the GPX files, places, events, services, videos, Signature Tracks, trip journals and posts they shared. Several from one rider on the same day show together, for example shared 3 new GPX files.
New and read
Opening the bell clears its number. Each notification keeps a blue dot until you open it. marks them all as read.
- Click a notification to open its item at that comment. A post opens right in your notifications, with its conversation under it.
- on a conversation mutes it: no more notifications about it. Undo brings them back.
- opens Notification Settings (also in the menu under your picture): for each kind of notification, choose whether it shows on the bell, comes as a phone push and goes in the email digest; the Muted list there lets you unmute conversations and riders.
- Email digest: turn Email on for a kind and the HUB sends you one email, weekly or daily (your choice in Notification Settings), with the notifications of those kinds you have not seen yet. Nothing new, no email. Every email has an Unsubscribe link.
- opens all your notifications as a page: hub.dmdnavigation.com/notifications.
- Signed out, the bell is still there; clicking it lets you sign in or create an account.
What the HUB Syncs
The HUB greets you with “Hello, <name>” and shows a small sync status — Syncing…, how many items are uploading, and when it last synced. Everything below is kept in step with your account:
Profiles
Your rider profiles and their settings.
GPX
Your tracks, routes and waypoints and folders.
Locations
Your saved favourite places.
Settings
Editable from the web dashboard too.
Choosing a section
The HUB home is a launcher. One tile per section, all of them on screen at once with nothing to scroll, and each tile carries a line of live state rather than a description — how many files you have, which group you are riding with, whether a trip is being shared right now. The counts are read from the device, so they are there with or without signal.
Three tiles across on a head unit, two on a phone, and the grid sizes itself to whatever height the panel has. Riding Groups, Trip Sharing, My Events and Discover appear once you are signed in — all four are server-driven and have no offline half.
GPX Manager
Your file browser for GPX files, in sync with DMD HUB — folders of tracks, routes and waypoints; the tile reads GPX Files. Your own files carry Edit in Planner on their details, which opens them in the planner, and SHARE FILE and SHARE LINK to send them to other riders. Everything it does is in GPX Manager & Sharing.
Location Manager
Your saved locations, organised into categories and ready to navigate to. See the Locations guide.
Riding Groups
Ride together with live buddy tracking, chat and shared content. See the Riding Groups guide.
Trip Sharing
Put yourself on a live map anyone can open, and keep the ride as a journal afterwards. The tile turns red and counts your watchers while a trip is running. You can also list the ride on the HUB so other riders find it, and drop YouTube links onto the trip as you go. See the Trip Sharing guide.
My Events
The events you created on the DMD HUB website — also the ones still waiting for approval, and hidden ones only people with the link can open — and the events you marked Going, with past ones at the end. Tap one to open it. The tile counts the events coming up.

Event day
For the events you created or are Going to, with nothing more than a HUB sign-in:
- From 24 hours before, a card over the map when DMD2 starts (and when an event comes within 24 hours while it runs): how long until it starts and at what time, where each of its files stands (on your map, open in Roadbook, or when it unlocks), and View details.
- The event's GPX on your map. When the organiser attached a file, riders going to the event get it (with registration, once the organiser confirms you). DMD2 fetches it ahead of time, keeps it hidden until it unlocks — the organiser sets that time, usually the start — and then puts it on your map, offline too. Take it off and it stays off; when the organiser's access ends, it comes off. Your own event's file you load yourself from GPX Files.
- The event's roadbook opens in Roadbook at the same moment — fetched ahead of time too, so it works offline. If you already have a roadbook open, DMD2 leaves yours alone and the start card offers Show roadbook instead. Any time later, open it yourself: the event's page has a Roadbook block with an Open button (or where it stands: unlocks at, downloading), and the Roadbook screen lists your Event roadbooks when nothing is loaded, and in its Import Roadbook panel.
- A roadbook PDF from the organiser works the same way: DMD2 fetches it ahead (up to 50 MB; a download cut by a bad connection carries on where it stopped) and opens it in Roadbook at its unlock, with your remote, notes and the rest of Roadbook's PDF tools. The card names it “(PDF)”. If the organiser uploads a new version while you have it open, a card asks Reload or Later: Later keeps the one you are reading until you next open it. From its unlock you can also download it from the event's page on the HUB website, to print it.
- When the organiser changes the event — moves its time, adds, replaces or removes a file, or confirms your registration — DMD2 picks it up within moments (licensed units; during the event every unit checks every few minutes). A file the organiser adds appears; one the organiser removes comes off your map; a roadbook you are reading stays open.
- At the event's end (its finish date and time), DMD2 closes it: its files come off your map, its roadbook closes and its downloaded copies are deleted. Live Event keeps its own window, set by the organiser.
- At the start, a card saying the event has started, whether its file is on your map, Navigate to event and Details.
- Live Event: while the event is live, Join live event on that card, on the map and on the event's page — the riders on the map with how they are doing, SOS, the board and the crew. See the Live Event guide.
The times are right even when the unit's own clock is wrong: DMD2 goes by the HUB server's clock, or the GPS time.
