Registering Your DMD Device

A DMD Navigation device comes with DMD2 licensed. Register it to your DMD HUB account and DMD2 is licensed on your phone and tablet too — on every device where you sign in with that account. No key, no subscription.

Limits
A device belongs to one HUB account. One account can hold up to 10 devices.
The serial number is not a license key. Don’t type it into the Thork Racing Offline Key field on your phone. Register the device on the device itself, as below, and sign in on the phone with the same account.

Register the device

Registration can only be done on the DMD device, because DMD2 reads the device’s serial number from the hardware. The HUB website can show and remove registered devices, but not add them.

  1. Make sure the DMD device is online.
  2. In DMD2 on the DMD device, open Quick Menu → Settings → Global → License. The top of the screen reads DMD Navigation Device — Licensed, and below it is the DMD Device Registration section with the device model and a shortened serial number.
  3. If the section says Sign in to the HUB to register this device, sign in to the DMD HUB first, with the account you use on your phone.
  4. Tap Register This Device.
  5. The app confirms with Device registered, and the section now reads Registered to followed by your account.
The DMD device itself is licensed whether or not it is registered. Registering is what licenses your other devices.

Use DMD2 on your phone or tablet

  1. Install DMD2; Download & License has the links.
  2. Sign in to the DMD HUB with the same account the DMD device is registered to.
  3. Open Settings → Global → License. It reads Registered DMD Device — Licensed.

Registered the device just now and the phone still says No License Found? DMD2 checks the license when it starts, so tap Check Again on that screen, or close and reopen the app.

See and remove your devices

On the HUB website

Sign in at hub.dmdnavigation.com and open Account & Security → DMD Devices. It lists every device registered to your account, each with a Remove button.

On the DMD device

In Settings → Global → License, tap Remove Registration and confirm.

After a removal, the phones and tablets that got their license from that device lose it the next time they check. The DMD device itself stays licensed.

Selling or replacing a device

  • Selling it: remove the registration first, on the device or on the HUB website. The new owner can then register it to their own account.
  • Bought it second-hand and the app says it is registered to another account: ask the seller to remove it, or contact support with your proof of purchase.
  • Warranty replacement: contact support and we move the registration to the new device.

Troubleshooting

The app saysWhat it meansWhat to do
Registered to another DMD HUB account. If this device is yours, contact support with your proof of purchase. The device is already registered, for example by a previous owner. If you still have it on your own other account, remove it there. Otherwise contact support with your proof of purchase.
This account already holds the maximum number of registered devices. One account can hold up to 10 devices. Remove a device you no longer have on the HUB website, then register again.
Too many attempts. Please try again in an hour. Registration allows 10 attempts an hour. Wait an hour, then try again.
Could not reach the DMD server. Check your connection and try again. The DMD device is offline. Connect it to Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.
This build cannot read the device serial number, so registration is not available here. The DMD2 version installed on this DMD device can’t read the serial number. Install the DMD2 APK for DMD devices from Download & License.
This key was rejected: That is a DMD device serial number, not a license key. … (on your phone) The serial number was typed into the license key field. Register the device on the device itself, then sign in on the phone with the same account.
