Why am I getting a "Restricted Setting" warning?

This is an Android protection, not a DMD2 fault. It appears when the app asks for notification access, and Android blocks that permission screen for apps installed from outside the Play Store.
Allow it manually:
- Android Settings → Apps, and tap DMD2.
- Tap Force Stop.
- Tap the three dots in the top-right corner and choose Allow restricted settings.
Then reopen DMD2 and grant the notification permission as normal. The exact wording varies a little between Android versions and manufacturers.
