Is DMD2 compatible with iOS?
The DMD2 navigation app is Android only, and that is not planned to change.
Building an application as feature-rich as DMD2 is significantly harder in the iOS environment. On top of that, most Apple devices are not suited to motorcycle use — dust, water, vibration and temperature are all problems. The Android device market simply offers better hardware for this job.
There is, however, a DMD HUB app for iPhone and iPad. It is the companion app, not the navigation app: plan routes in the GPX Planner, share GPX files and locations, join riding groups with live member tracking, and send a destination straight to your DMD2 unit for turn-by-turn navigation. You can find it on the App Store.
An iPhone also works alongside DMD2 as a phone. Pair it and its notifications are mirrored on the head unit, with no app to install on the phone.
