Is DMD2 compatible with Android Auto?

No.
Android Auto and CarPlay are streaming systems — your pocket device runs the app and streams a stripped-down version of it to the screen. That is not suitable for DMD2.
The app would be limited to the layouts Android Auto allows, so most of what DMD2 does would simply not be there. Your phone would also be doing all the work, and would discharge much faster.
It can be a reasonable system in a car, or on a bike for short single-day rides. It is not a good solution for adventure riding, which is what DMD2 is built for.
