How do I move my data to a new device?

DMD2 App Updated Aug 18, 2026

Sign in to the DMD HUB on both devices. There is no file to copy by hand.

The HUB keeps these in step with your account:

  • Rider profiles and their settings
  • GPX — tracks, routes, waypoints and folders
  • Saved locations
  • App settings, which you can also edit from the HUB website

Recordings sync as well. On the new device open the GPX Recorder, go to My Recordings and use Download All From Server to pull your rides down.

Two things to know before you wipe the old device:

  • HUB sync is part of the licensed tier. Signing in is free, and stays free precisely so a license can be restored — but the sync itself needs a license. Without one, copy or share your GPX files across yourself.
  • Offline maps do not travel. They are a physical download, so you download them again on the new device.

Let the first sync finish on the new device before you clear the old one.
