How do I change the map language?

Go to Map Settings → Map Language. Reach Map Settings with the Layers button in the bottom menu while the Map section is active.
The choices are English, Deutsch, Francais, Espanol, and Local — Local meaning each place is labelled in its own local name.
Changing it re-labels the map in place. There is no reload and no restart.
This is a different setting from the app's own language, which lives in Global Settings. It also depends on what the map data carries for a given place: where a name exists only in the local language, that is the name you will see whatever you pick.
Map Language is saved per rider profile, so different profiles can use different languages.
