Dangerous routing on Left Hand drive countries
Submitted by Richard Totaro • #592 • 6d ago • updated 19m ago
I’m in Australia (drive on the left). I generate my GPX in HUB and ride them in DMD2 on a NOR7E.
A GPX route between two points will place the route on the incorrect side of multilane roads (i.e.the right hand side) leading to a lot of rerouting alerts as the device tries to place me onto the right hand lanes.
This is especially problematic on large, multi lane highways where the horizontal displacement can be tens to a hundred meters. I have attached a screenshot from HUB of a route showing the westbound green line in the northern lanes as opposed to where they should be on the southern lanes. Any solutions to this potentially dangerous issue?

This occurs on DMD2 on my Nor7e device while riding. It is only an issue in multi lane highways. On the screen shot the green line should be on southern three lines (westbound like the arrow ) and not the northern lanes. It has occurred to me twice after planning on hub then riding that plan. Both times on different multi lane highways

I can upload the GPX file - see the attachment, the 3D preview alone the M4 great western highway demonstrates the issue
