Group Rider Avatar cache refresh

I was on a group ride with a guy months ago. After the group ride, he changed his profile picture on the hub. The profile picture seems to update everywhere, except on the DMD2 app map. There I still see the old profile picture.
It looks like the group member avatar cache in dmd2 does not to expire.
