Improving fixed-point interaction experience for DMD2 in workshop and depot environments

In real-world usage of DMD2, the system is primarily used as an in-ride navigation platform for motorbike riders, especially during active route navigation.
However, in practical workflows around the riding process, we often observe additional interaction points outside of riding sessions, such as:
workshop or garage preparation areas
depot or expedition setup stations
fleet coordination desks
At these fixed locations, users typically need to perform lightweight interactions such as device preparation, route syncing, or checking stored trip data.
In these scenarios, users are not operating a mobile navigation device, but instead interact with the system in a stationary environment where a touch-based interface is often more convenient than a phone or in-ride device.
Currently, DMD2 interaction design is mainly optimized for mobile / in-ride usage, and there is limited guidance or optimized experience for these fixed interaction environments.
It may be worth considering whether future iterations of DMD2 could better support this secondary interaction layer in terms of usability, interface adaptation, or companion workflow support.

Is this really necessary since you can do most of heavy lifting on the website already? Set which GPX files load to map, define your next navigation destination, show or hide location from the map.
The objective here is to be able to manage everything from the website/HUB app and then use the DMD2-Next for navigation.
I think what you suggest would add an extra layer of UI/UX for the user...
