Why is the app using so much internet data?

The only things that can continuously use internet data are online map layers and group ride. Here is an average data use reference:

Group Ride - around 10MB per hour (can be a bit more of less depending on the number of users in the group)
Satellite View - around 35MB per hour (depends on the map areas you load / zoom to )
Hill-shading Layer - around 40MB per hour (depends on the map areas you load / zoom to )

Everything else is user triggered, for example, downloading a map, which should be done only on a decent WIFI connection.
