Is DMD2 compatible with Android Auto?

No. These are basically streaming devices, which means it will be your pocket device streaming the app, this is not suitable for DMD².

Not only Android Auto and Car Play are limited by the fact you need a compatible app but also because AA / CP app versions are not the same as when you run the app natively. Basically the app will stream a stripped down version (limited and forced to use the available AA/CP layouts) where a lot of the DMD² (or any other app) features would be missing.

Although this system might be useful in your car or even on a motorcycle if your doing single day short rides, this is not a good solution for adventure riding. In addition, your streaming device (your phone) would discharge much faster.
